Smoot Construction is a commercial general contractor. Their website is a working recruitment tool — HR posts openings, applicants apply, the portfolio sells the firm — and it’s run entirely from the WordPress admin without developer involvement.
Smoot’s HR team couldn’t post a job without developer help. Every new opening meant a ticket, a wait, and a static page update — so hiring velocity was always a step behind the pipeline. The existing site also had nowhere structured to show off completed projects, which made the portfolio story harder to tell to both clients and candidates.
