24 Facilities, Two Management Systems, One Site

Store Here was replacing its property management system in the middle of the build. Eighteen locations were converting from SiteLink to Self Storage Manager on a hard cutover date, while four were staying on SiteLink indefinitely. The legacy site ran a rental engine that could address exactly one platform, so any site shipped before the conversion finished would either publish inventory for the wrong system or go dark across half the portfolio. Live availability, pricing, promotions and the entire online move-in flow all depended on getting that routing right at every single facility.

DevQ built a custom theme around a provider abstraction: a single interface covering facilities, unit groups, live availability, move-in rates, discount plans, lead capture, move-in cost preview, card payment and e-signed leases, with a separate implementation behind it for each management platform. A factory resolves which platform to call per facility, using a global default with a per-location override, so every block and template codes against the interface and never against a vendor. A pre-launch gate walks all 24 locations and compares each one against its provider’s own fallback signature, refusing to pass if any location is serving placeholder inventory instead of real units.

Store Here launched across all 24 locations with 18 facilities running on Self Storage Manager and 4 on SiteLink at the same time, under one site and one codebase. Moving a facility between platforms became a per-location setting rather than a rebuild, with the previous configuration preserved so any location can be rolled back. Conversion tracking now fires on completed rentals and reservations carrying real revenue, instead of counting button clicks.
